Tumour Classification

Source BioScience is set up to provide rapid histology services to support clinical and R & D studies. This includes processing of tissue to block, sectioning including specialist cutting of delicate tissues eg CNS; H & E and expert pathology review by one of 65 pathologists. We support clinical trial studies globally, providing formalin pots, as required, for collection and fixation of tumour biopsy samples.

Features such as size of tumour, grade and stage of cancer including any lymph node spread can be ascertained. Small sections of tumour will be stained and evaluated by a consultant histopathologist.

Specialist staining including quantitative IHC and FISH can be supplied together with manual and automated image analysis.

Blocks/samples can be stored for clinical trials and research studies if required.
Please note that genomic extraction and rescue of genomic material from archived blocks is another service that we offer.
